We are still open and here for you. We are continuing to provide services as we have been doing throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. We are prioritising delivery of care and services based on clinical need. If you need medical advice or treatment, please ring us on 0116 2543003. Please be prepared to give our trained reception staff a brief outline of your problem, this is to help them signpost you to the most appropriate service or clinician. All GP appointments will be via telephone triage. Depending on the problem, the GP may ask you to send photographs, may video call you or, if they deem it necessary, they may book you a face-to-face appointment to come and see them at the surgery. We appreciate that how you have contact with GPs is very different at the moment, this is to limit contact and footfall into the surgery whenever possible to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
The decision to book in face-to-face appointments can only be made by the doctor; our reception staff are not able to book these appointments.
If your problem is not urgent, we do have a limited number of pre-bookable appointments available. For minor ailments please speak to a local pharmacist or visit the NHS website at www.nhs.uk for health advice.
Emergency Appointments
If you require an appointment for a problem that you feel will not wait until the next available routine appointment, you will be given a time to attend – usually at the end of morning surgery. You may not be able to see the doctor of your choice and may also have to wait longer than usual.
Because of the time of day, your practice will not be able to process urgent requests.
